Yosemite Mist Trail to Half Dome: connecting visitors to safer, more fulfilling bucket list experiences

Embarking from the trailhead at the Happy Isles Nature Center, visitors can experience the otherworldly Mist Trail and the magnificence of Vernal and Nevada Falls, and perhaps even climb along the world-famous cables of Half Dome—a “bucket list” experience for hikers from around the globe. Working with NPS and the Yosemite Conservancy, Red Bridge created a plan for the entire trail corridor that updates visitor amenities and safety features so that trail users access these iconic natural areas and their stories in alignment with their abilities and recreational desires.
